I’m Bryce. I’ve been fixing computers for nearly 20 years, and I run Lake Country Computer Repair from my home workshop in Lake Country. You hand your computer to me, I tell you what’s wrong and what it will cost, and I fix it. No counter, no ticket numbers.

What I fix.

Laptops, desktops and Macs. Most repairs are done within two days, unless a part has to be ordered.

You deal with me, start to finish.

I do the diagnosis, the repair and the phone call. The price I quote is the price you pay, and if something isn’t worth fixing I’ll tell you.

Owner-operated, born and raised in Lake Country.

Your files stay your business.

I only open what the repair needs. Here is how I handle a machine once it’s on the bench.

  • 01

I don’t look through your files

I open what the repair needs and nothing else. What’s on your computer stays your business.

  • 02

    You know who has it

One person, at one bench, in Lake Country. My name is on every repair.

  • 03

No comments on what I find

Whatever’s on there, I’ve seen it before. I’m there to fix the fault, not to remark on it.

  • 04

I’ll say when it isn’t worth fixing

If the repair costs more than the machine is worth to you, you hear that first. Five-minute fixes are usually free.

This is the first time I have used Lake Country Computer. Bryce is easy to talk to, as computer stuff is not my wheel house. Bryce just explained very clearly. Email contact on all issues. Cost of service is consistent with market value.

For once you can trust a Google review rating! Bryce fixed my new screwed up(self inflicted) laptop in just over an hour and he tailored it to my needs. I drove down from Vernon and will be again next week with some other laptops that need looking at. Definitely give this business a chance

Questions, answered.

How much does computer repair cost?
Most repairs land between $60 and $150, billed at a fair $60 an hour or a simple flat rate, always less than the big-box stores. You start with a flat $40 diagnostic that tells you exactly what is wrong, and that $40 comes right off your bill when you go ahead. You always get an upfront price before any work begins.
Do you charge to diagnose my computer?
Yes, a flat $40, and it is credited to your repair if you proceed. Big-box stores typically charge around $100 just to look at it and keep the fee. Yours comes back to you.
How fast can you fix it?
You book a drop-off time, bring the computer in, and I have a diagnosis for you the same day. Once you approve the price, most repairs are finished within two days after that; if a part has to be ordered I tell you the wait before you commit. You are dealing with me directly, not a ticket queue, so there is no shipping your device out for a week or two.
Do I need an appointment to drop my computer off?
Yes. Text or call (604) 817-1069, or book online, and pick a 30-minute drop-off slot. That way I am there when you arrive and your computer goes straight onto the bench instead of into a queue.
What happens if my computer needs a part?
I call you and tell you exactly which part you need and why, in plain English. Once you decide to go ahead, I order the part for you and install it when it arrives. You are never sent to a parts counter to guess, and you always know what the part costs before it is ordered. Turnaround in that case depends on how long the part takes to ship.
Do you repair laptops, desktops and Macs?
All three. Laptops, desktops and Macs, for everything from cracked screens and dead batteries to viruses, slow performance and failing drives.
